Author Guidelines

The author should first register as author and/or offer to be a reviewer via the following address: https://pnuj.dpwppnijatim.org/index.php/PNUJ/about/submissions

The author should complete those sections of the form marked with a star in as much detail as possible. Following completion of all the text boxes, the author clicks on the “Register” button to activate the registration process. The author is then brought to the online author submission interface where he/she should click on “New Submission”. The following are the four steps of online submission process:

  • Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate type of the article, i.e. Research Articles, Review Articles, or Case Reports. The author must check-mark on the submission required options. The one submitting is the corresponding author, make sure to click on the option, that you are the corresponding author and would like to be contacted about this submission.
  • Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, on the “Upload Submission” part, click on “Add files” item, select the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click on the “Upload” button. After upload file then click save and continue.
  • Step 3 – Entering Submission Metadata: In this step, detailed author metadata should be entered, including marked corresponding author. The manuscript title and abstract must then be uploaded by copying the text and pasting it into the textbox, 3-5 keywords, and references.
  • Step 4 – Confirming the Submission:  Authors should conduct a final check of the uploaded manuscript documents at this stage. To submit the manuscript to Professional Nursing Update Journal (PNUJ), click the “Finish Submission” button after the document’s content has been verified. The corresponding author or principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging the journal’s web address site.

Authors who submit manuscripts will receive a confirmation email that allows them to track their submission status at any time. Submission tracking includes manuscript review status and editorial processes.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Submit the files in Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. We are not accept Files in PDF file format.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness and had been arranged using Vancouver style.
  • The author(s) have received consent from the author or editor of any pictures or table quoted from other journals or books.
  • In case of experimenting on humans, the author(s) have certified that the process of the research is in accordance with the ethical standards of the Helsinki declaration, as well as any domestic and foreign committees that preside over the experiment.
  • Author(s) of the journal have clarified everything that may arise such as work, research expenses, consultant expenses, and intellectual property on the document in relation to the ICMJE form disclosure of conflicts of interest
